If your pen or cutter is not “snapping” up between plot and cuts, it is probably slightly out of alignment. Here are a few things to check and how to resolve:
With the pen holder removed, if you push the pen slide down does it “snap” back up? If no:
1. Loosen the four, 2.5mm Allen head screws securing the pen mount to the pen slide (or cutter mount to cutter slide). When all for are loose, repeatedly push the slide down until it realigns itself and “snaps” back up. re-tighten the 4 screws in a diagonal fashion. Do not over tighten. If you have to preform this routinely, place a small drop of blue loctite on each screw — this will prevent them from loosening.
2. If the slide still does not “snap” up when pushed down, you may need to rotate the air cylinder 1/4 turn left or right. Adjust and test. If you are still having problems, please contact Carlson Design.
