Generation/Spillway Releases

The pole on the walkway holds our Weather Station , which provides the feed for Wunderground Disney Weather and KOKDISNE1 History. We also participate in CWOP (citizen weather observers). Our station is CW4985 with CW4985 weather quality.

In the covered slip on the hydrohoist is our custom 31' mahogony launch "Loon". Our Freedom 44 cat-ketch "Principia" is usually sitting on the right. Principia travelled down the Arkansas and Mississippi rivers in 1996 and was in Pensacola, FL and Mobile, AL until fall 2006.

Principia Arrives on Grand Lake, Sept 2006

Take I-44 East to Joplin, exit on Highway 28 East towards Adair. Go across Langley dam, through Disney, over the two spillways and take the first left towards the Decks restaurant.

Bear right, go a little ways and turn left on the blacktop out to Hinds point. We're on the east side of the loop.
